Select scientific modelling and chemical/biological limnology are part of our miscellaneous archives!
The bathymetric map; the morphological data; the flow chart of the Shubencadie River headwaters; the Nova Scotia lake hypolimnion project; the paleolimnology of lakes in the HRM; HRM's receiving water baseline sampling program for fecal coliforms

During 2000-2001, we had also notified, several times, the Environmental Services branch of the Regional Operations at HRM about the scientific errors in the data as well as the analyses conducted by their consultants during 1999-2000. A discussion of the errors will be too extensive here, but briefly, the TP values of the engineering consultants were not analysed to the accuracy that is the `norm' in limnology; further their final conclusion of Cranberry Lake being oligotrophic-mesotrophic appears to be flawed on a scientific level!
The trophic standards applied by the engineering consultants were not international protocols, for e.g., they were not the 18-country peer-consensus OECD probability distribution diagrams; further they do not apply to shallow lakes with a significant macrophyte production (cf.
