Regarding your posting to Lakes-L and Eric Schlorff. 

Thanks so much for your input.  I was selected to be one of several
scientific reviewers of the proposed Washington lake nutrient standards. 
I was very dissappointed that a more predictive modelling approach was not
recommended.  The review committee was only asked to evaluate the proposed
standards which are based on an ecoregional phosphorus "action level". 
Perhaps your response will encourage a more thorough evaluation of
modelling approaches that would allow lake-specific standards to be
