The process that the NSDE went through in developing the Act of 1994-95
- Spring 1991: Discussion Paper on Environmental Law Enforcement
- June 1991: Final Report of the Minister's Task Force on Clean Water:
- A complimentary letter we had sent under the purview of the Sackville Rivers Advisory Board-SRAB (which was amalgamated with this limnology society during 1990-91) to the Hon. John Leefe, Minister of NSDE; February 01, 1990
- We had participated actively in the Task Force hearings and our reps attended all three meetings in the HRM area, namely at the St. Mary's University in Halifax, at the LeBrun Centre in Bedford, at the Bicentennial School in Dartmouth, and the Task Force workshop at the Hotel Nova Scotian; more specifically,
- Made our first formal verbal presentation to the Task Force at ca. 14:00 hrs at the LeBrun Centre in Bedford; June 20, 1990
- Made our second formal verbal presentation together with select video clips to the Task Force ca. 21:30 hrs at the Bicentennial School in Dartmouth; June 26, 1990
- Participated in the large workshop held under the sponsorship of the Task Force at 10:00 hrs at Hotel Nova Scotian; March 21, 1991
- February 1992: Sustainable Development Strategy Nova Scotia Round Table on Environment
- November 1992: Final Report of the Minster's Task Force on Clean Air
- December 1992: Working Group on Environmental Liability of Lenders/Receivers/Trustees
- November 1993: Draft Environment Act
- Public meetings on the Draft Nova Scotia Environment Act held during the period, January 24 to February 17, 1994 all over Nova Scotia:
- We made a 15-minute verbal presentation at the Ramada Renaisance in Dartmouth on February 16, 1994 as well as several written submissions of which we have inserted two major ones below dated, February 28, 1994, and September 27, 1994!

We had a representative, one of our founding subscribing members, Prof. Gordon Ogden III PhD, attend the workshop!
